ViniDiCagnore is an agricultural and viticultural reality that was born in San Severino Marche, in the heart of an ancient and fertile land that has always had a vocation for the cultivation of vines. The name itself refers to Contrada Cagnore, mentioned in the descriptive land registries of the 16th century as an agricultural territory “of high value,” with hillsides already then cultivated with vines thanks to the position protected from the winds and the favorable altimetry. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Over the centuries, these lands have kept their vocation intact: the unique microclimate, rich soils and perfect exposure still continue to offer ideal conditions for viticulture.

The \"I Terreni di Sanseverino\" DOC.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The “I Terreni di Sanseverino”<\/b> DOC, recognized in 2004<\/b>, originates from a rich history linked to medieval figures, trade with Rome and Umbria, and a wine culture maintained through generations. Credit for this DOC also goes to Cesare Ottavi, a visionary landowner who revitalized customary vine cultivation, expanding production and promoting the historical and cultural value of San Severino wines. His determination and the commitment of local institutions culminated in the official recognition of the DOC, putting this area on the Italian wine map. I Terreni di Sanseverino thus continue to offer wines that celebrate their history, quality and uniqueness, testifying to their heritage and the quality of the terroir. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

THE BIRTH OF OUR PROJECT<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2022 <\/b>the embryo of the revival wine project is created. Luca, Michaela, Stacy and Wess decide to give life, with a trained and professional team, to a new viticultural path of great value, which faithfully represents and reflects the tradition of the territory. With the recovery of old vineyards about 40 years old and the underground Cellar, the ViniDiCagnore <\/b>project was born : <\/b>a precise and passionate idea, combining memory and research, respect for tradition and desire for innovation. The goal is not only to produce wine<\/a>, but to do it in an authentic, conscious, scientific way. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

1500, THE ORIGINS<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

An ancient cartouche from the 1500s<\/b> already mentioned the Cagnore district of San Severino Marche in the descriptive cadastre, describing it as agricultural territory “of high value.”<\/b> It, thanks to its altimetric and topographical conditions, sheltered from the winds, had in fact already at that time most of the hillsides cultivated with vines. From the same cartouche is reported the division of land in contrada Cagnore between two brothers, Ottavio and Anselmo, sons of Giovanni di Lorenzo. From Ottavio then derived the Ottavi family, which from the mid-1980s began to grow and enhance the viticulture of the area. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 1985 Cesare Maria Ottavi<\/b>, a university professor in Rome and a passionate winemaker, inherited the Ottavi family’s land and house. Right from the start, he understood that that heritage has a value
